The Primary Source Search is accessible via the Search tab in the Navigation bar. Use the Primary Source Search to discover Primary Sources.

Document Title
Document Text
Document Author
Document Year: You can enter a specific year or a range.
Document Type: Pick from a list including Poem, Sermon, Slave Narrative, Speech and many others.
Commentary Text: Use this field to search the commentary text. The commentaries were specifically written for this site, and provide context on and insight into the primary source document.
